Hudson Valley Fishing

Fishing in the Hudson River is one of the best locations because there are several different types of fish and there are access points along the river.  Catching a fish in the Hudson is not a guarantee, but it’s a good bet that you can pull out a fish.

Live worms are the easiest and most reliable.  Live worms can be found at many sporting goods stores, or you can dig your own worms.

If you don’t have access to worms, artificial baits are much easier.  They don’t “die” if they’re left in the sun, they may stay on your hooks better, and you can easily place them in your pocket.  The best bet is to head to the river or lake with a jar of artificial nightcrawlers and a pack of catfish bait.
